I had the grey one and my neighbor had an even earlier one that was a real dark grey that looked black. I think there was a royal blue too, but I may be thinking of a different gun.
Those sights were so useless. Instinctive aim was enough to zap the bastards.
We took the cord off of my zapper and gave it to my cousin to use as a bew bew gun. Nobody used the thing.

wow……… Just to let you know the gun sends light waves(laser) to the screen and depending on the position the gun is on the screen iut sends that message back to the console telling it where the shot goes in the game.

i dont know, i went to the store, there was an orange one for 5 bucks (which i bought) and a grey one, for 4 times more.
i think grey’s like, the original original.

they originally had it in gray and light gray (witch i have) but then they changed it to orange and grey for safety

i have a grey one to, the only difference is that its… well orange, because some guy held his wife hostage with the grey one so they made it orange so its easier to see its not a real gun. i know its stupid

The zapper doesn’t shoot OUT light, but the “gun” detects light so its actually backwards of what you are saying. That’s why the screen turns black except what you should be aiming at when you pull the trigger. Also, to cheat, just hold the zapper up to a lightbulb, or something else that gives off white light, and the NES will detect a hit
